pissed off

current mood: pissed off

Continued from here.

Hermione wanted to tell Fred that she wasn't going to tell her any such thing when Rupert and Wesley walked into the room. She was glad when Wesley told Fred that her idea was brilliant, so that she'd realize that they were with her, no matter what.

"Of course we aren't, love," Rupert said. "Siedel didn't expect you to live through your ordeal, I'm sure. His sending you to another dimension was simply a convenient way to...make sure no one found you. And to keep his hands clean."

"Fred," Hermione said, walking over to the bed and sitting down next to her. "He tried to take you away from me. The last time someone killed someone I loved, I..."

She paused for a moment, looking down at her hands before looking up at Fred. She had never told anyone this before - not even Rupert knew. Only Harry did. And Harry had promised never to tell.

"When Ron died, I was lying on the floor in pain, his body right next to me, Voldemort nearby. Now, there are three spells that every witch and wizard are taught to never, ever use, no matter what the circumstances, on another witch or wizard. If they do, they're branded evil...wrong..." She took a deep breath. "The worst of the lot is Avada Kedavra, the killing curse. And when Ron fell next to me, I grabbed his wand because mine was being held by Voldemort...and I said it."

"Hermione," Rupert said softly.

She shrugged. "It didn't work...but I had to try." She reached out and pushed Fred's hair back from her face. "So I understand why you have to do this. He wanted to kill you, and he's killed others. He has to be stopped because I will not let him take you or the babies away from me. From us. So whatever you have to do, I'll be there with you."

"As will I," Wesley said.

"And I," Rupert agreed. "But only if you want this, Fred. You're the one he hurt. You're the one who makes the decision how we proceed with this."

Fred - Cut a bitch

When Hermione and her were finished kissing, Fred slipped off the bed and started to look around for her clothes. Rupert handed them to her and she silently thanked him before she slipped them on. She was buttoning the last button on her shirt when Hermione come over to her and told her about the spell she knew.

It was perfect for what Fred had planned for Siedel - something she hadn't told the others about. "Sounds good, sweetie," Fred said as she ran her fingers through Hermione's hair.

"I'll get the car and pull it around to the front door," Wesley said as he smoothed out his hair and walked out of the room.

Fred picked up the book and read over the spell a few more times. It didn't take her long to memorize the words. After setting the book down, she followed Rupert and Hermione to the front door, with her crossbow in her arms. Stepping outside, she looked at Rupert and Hermione.

"I'm going to sit up front with Wesley if you don't mind," she said before opening the driver side door and climbing in. When she was in, she gave Wesley a look and then looked down at her crossbow. He simply nodded and started the Jeep again.

Me - Wand

Hermione smiled softly at Fred when she agreed to her and nodded before going over and getting her wand out of the box she kept it in on the dresser. Once she had secreted it up her sleeve, she put on her jacket and then turned to watch her fiancee read through the book, her lips moving as she read over the spell in there.

She prayed this worked - she didn't want this man around to haunt Fred. She didn't want this man around anymore to hurt the woman she loved.

When they walked out to meet Wes at the car, neither she or Rupert said anything when Fred asked to sit up front with Wesley, instead climbing into the backseat. The ride over to the university was done in silence, almost as if all of them where considering what the were about to do. Hermione knew she was - part of her wanted to use one of the unforgiveables on this man. Crucio to inflict pain on him the way he had inflicted years of pain on Fred, or Imperio to make him feel what it was like to be a slave to someone else's whim while frightened for his life.

She knew she wouldn't, though. If she did, the American Department of Magic would know right away since she was now registered as US magical resident. When she had attempted Avada Kedavra on Voldemort, she had been using Ron's wand, and the confusion had made it easy to convince the Ministry of Magic that Voldemort had actually been the one to try it.

Besides, this was Fred's vengeance. She was just there to help.

When they reached the university, the car park was practically empty outside the physics building. Wesley parked, and the four of them got out of the car to head inside. When they reached the outer part of Siedel's office where his assistant usually sat, they heard a voice call out as there were footsteps coming toward the door.

"Hello? Who's there? Office hours are over, so I'm afraid you'll have tom--Fred? What are you...?"

Before he could say anything else, Hermione had her wand out and was pointing it at Siedel. "Petrificus totalus!" she incanted, freezing Siedel in place.

Fred - Cut a bitch

Fred spent the ride over looking out the window at the passing scenery. She wasn't thinking about Siedel, instead, she was thinking about the babies and when she should make an appointment to find out their sexes. When they arrived at the building, she led the others down the hallway and toward Professor Siedel's office.

She turned to look at Siedel but didn't utter a word. Instead, she calmly loaded her crossbow as Hermione did the spell. Fred then lifted the crossbow up and shot it off, it's arrow piercing Siedel's heart. "Leave him be for now. I want him to suffer," she said as she placed the crossbow on his desk and went to the file cabinet.

It was locked, but thankfully, Fred had taught herself how to break into things. A skill she'd picked up in Pylea. Once it was unlocked, she pulled the bottom drawer out and picked up several folders. It was research she'd started before Pylea, and she was going to finish it without giving any credit to Siedel since he wasn't going to give her credit for her parts.

With the folders tucked away in her bag, she walked over to Siedel and pulled the arrow out. She nodded at Wesley and he promptly opened the portal. "You can unfreeze him now and push him in," Fred said as she stood by Hermione. "We should get Chinese before we go home."

Me - Determined

When Fred shot the crossbow bolt into Siedel, Hermione gasped softly in surprise before casting a second spell to keep the professor's petrified body from falling over onto the floor. Part of her was worried for a moment that her fiancee might have gone too far.

Until she reminded herself that this man had been responsible for the five most horrific years in the live of the woman she loved. That had he been responsible for the disappearance and, no doubt, deaths of several more innocent students. And that he had tried to get rid of Fred again, only he would have also killed their two unborn children had he succeeded this time.

Looking over at Wesley and Rupert, she saw no expression on their faces as they waited. Then Rupert turned his head to look at her, and she could see in his eyes that look. The same look he had when he had told her what he had been forced to do to Ben in Sunnydale. The look that said this was what had to be done. Hermione nodded and turned to look back over at Fred, who was digging through the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet.

Once she had found what she wanted and Wesley opened the portal, Hermione recited the spell to lift the petrification charm. Blood blossomed onto Siedel's shirt where Fred had shot him, but before he could react or say anything, Rupert was pushing him into the portal. Siedel opened his mouth in a silent scream as he disappeared, the portal closing behind him moments later.

Turning, Hermione wrapped her arm around Fred and kissed her temple, glad that it was over. That man would never hurt her love again.

"The Chinese shop is on the way home," Wesley mentioned as they turned to head out of the office.

"Sounds good to me," Rupert said. "We haven't had much to eat today."

Nodding, Hermione looked up and saw a security camera in the hall outside the office. Raising her wand, she recited a spell that sent a short through the entire system to take out both the cameras and whatever media it was being recorded to. Obviously, no one was watching the cameras as they would have already been stopped by now. This would be enough.

"Let's go," she said, tightening her hold on her fiancee.

Fred - Carefree

Fred stood in silence as the rest of them finished the job off for her. When she saw Siedel fall into the portal, relief rushed over her. It was finally over. She wouldn't have to worry about the professor anymore. "Thank you," she said to all of them as Hermione took her hand. She gave them all a grateful smile before they walked out of the building.

About ten minutes later, they were pulling up in front of the Chinese place. Fred's back was hurting so they decided to take the food home to eat and turn in for the night. All of them got out of Jeep and went inside, where Cordy was standing, waiting for her order. "Hey, Cordy," Fred said with a smile.

"Oh, hey," she said with a smile when she saw the four of them.

"How are you been, Cordelia?" Rupert asked as Wesley ordered their food.

"It's going great," Cordy said as she picked up her bag of food. "Well, I need to get back to Lucas."

"Lucas?" Fred asked, perking an eyebrow. "Boyfriend?"

Cordy blushed and nodded. "Yeah. I met him a few weeks ago. He just moved her from England." She looked down at her watch. "I need to go. I'll talk to all of you later."

Fred watched Cordy walk out of the restaurant and shrugged her shoulders. "Looks like she's happy at least," she commented.

Me - Thoughtful

Hermione didn't know Cordelia well, so she stood next to Fred while her fiancee and Rupert spoke to her. With everything that had been going on, she had almost forgot that Groo and she had split up. When Groo had stopped by to say goodbye to them, he had said something about his princess no longer needing him. She had been spending a lot of time with Angel and Connor at the time and had seemed to barely noticed that Groo was gone, although since Connor had becoming more accustomed to his father and more accepting, Angel had been focusing more and more on his son to the exclusion of everyone else. Hermione wondered if that had something to do with Cordelia finding her new boyfriend.

"Wonder what Angel thinks of that," Wesley said. "He wasn't quite thrilled when Groo showed back up."

"I don't honestly think he notices anything that doesn't have to do with Connor right now, love," Rupert responded.

"Well, she deserves some happiness. Maybe she'll introduce us sometime."

Hermione raised an eyebrow at Wes. "You want to assess his suitability for Cordelia, don't you?"

"Of course," he said with an unabashed grin. "After all, I had to do the same for you with Fred. I don't want to let just anyone go out with my friends."

"I take it this assessment won't include some of the same...measures?"

That caused Wesley to blush furiously, at which Rupert barked out a laugh. "You must admit, love - we are rather unorthodox," he said, squeezing his husband's shoulder.

Their order came up, so Wesley and Rupert took the bags, and the four of them headed out to the car to head back to the apartment. The more they slipped into normality following what they had just done, the more relaxed Hermione felt. Fred and the babies were safe now, and that was all that mattered. Something niggled at her, though. She just wasn't sure what it was.

"Want me to draw you a bath later?" Hermione asked Fred as she rubbed her back during the ride back to the house.

Fred - Devious

Following the rest of them out to the car, Fred slipped into the backseat with Hermione. The smell of the Chinese food was strong and she could hear her stomach growling. "Food first, then a bath," she said with a giggle as she rubbed her stomach and leaned against her fiance. She turned her attention to the side window and then smiled. "I have the perfect plan."

"What's that?" Wesley asked as he glanced over the seat at her.

"All of us should make-out with you in a public place to get you over your shyness," Fred said with a giggle, which turned into a laugh when Wesley started to blush again.

"I...you lot really need to stop teasing me!" he said with a pout.

"Aww! Sorry, Wesley," Fred said as she leaned forward and softly kissed his pout. "We'll start small...maybe a grope here and there."

Wesley blushed again and Rupert shook his head. "Cheeky, isn't she?" Rupert asked as he looked over at his husband.

"Yes...I might have to bugger that cheekiness out of her," Wesley said as he gave Fred a wink.

Fred rolled her eyes and leaned back so she could snuggle with Hermione again. When they got to the house, all of them went inside and started to set the table up so they can eat. While the others were getting the plates and silverware, Fred dug through the bags and found the egg rolls. She ate one, and then another and by the time the rest of them returned, all the egg rolls were gone.

"I, uh, I ate all the egg rolls," she said with a blush.

Me - Grin

Hermione laughed as Fred continued to tease Wesley, causing him to turn even more red than he had been mere moments ago. She had to admit that not so long ago, she would have been reacting the same way. The idea of public make-out sessions had never been something she had liked...until she had met Fred.

At the house, she went into the kitchen with Rupert and Wesley. While the guys got the dishes and silverware, she grabbed four glasses out of the cabinet, setting them on Rupert's tea tray along with pitchers of water, still lemonade and milk. She carried it out in time for Fred to look at them with a guilty expression on her face as she confessed to eating the egg rolls.

"Obviously, the babies like egg rolls," Rupert said with a laugh as he started setting the plates down on the table.

Hermione nodded and kissed Fred's cheek. "Next time we'll just get a double order. What would everyone like to drink?"

"Lemonade," Wesley said. "Since Fred ate all the egg rolls, does that mean I get more of the Lo Mein?"

Rupert swatted his husband's hands away. "Only if there some leftover," he told him with a grin. "And I'll just take some water."

Hermione nodded and poured their glasses for them before looking over at Fred. "Love? What would you like?"

Fred - Girltalk

Fred was happy that none of them seemed to mind she had ate all the egg rolls. She sat down at the table and smirked when Wesley tried to get more Lo Mien. "Nice try, Wesley," she with a small laugh. "You have to remember I'm eating for three now." She stuck her tongue out at him just as Hermione was asking what she wanted to drink. "Milk, please."

After Hermione had poured the milk, everyone started to fill their plates with food. Wesley and Fred kept looking at each other, almost like they were afraid the other one was going to get more than them. It made Fred giggle, considering how much food Wesley could eat and how skinny he was.

"How are the wedding plans coming about?" Rupert suddenly asked as he put a spoonful of rice in his mouth.

"We're still waiting to hear back from the coven," Fred explained. "There's a few couples in front of us."

"If you don't hear from them soon, I'll ring them for you," Rupert said.

Fred nodded and finished off her plate of food. She then drank the rest of her milk. She was completely full and suddenly tired. "I think I'm going to put my plate in the kitchen and lie down for a bit," she said as she stood. She put the dishes away and went to the bedroom she shared with Hermione and laid down. Within moments, she was asleep.

Me - Sleeping

As Fred and Wesley eyed each other suspiciously over the food, Rupert shot Hermione a look and shook his head with a smile. It was moments like this that Hermione truly loved, that made her feel she was part of something wonderful...and normal. When she had been at Hogwarts, she had needed moments like this - moments where Ron and Harry and she had bickered about something stupid or where they had just sat around talking - to keep herself grounded in all the weird and painful happenings that were otherwise going on in their lives.

She just hoped that the four of them never lost this, no matter what happened. It had seemed as time had gone on with Ron and Harry, that the normal moments had been buried by everything else. And that, in the end, had led to her and Harry drifting apart, she felt. They couldn't be normal with each other after Voldemort, after Ron's death.

But the fact that she, Fred, Wesley and Rupert could, despite almost being torn apart by the First and despite what they had been forced to do earlier...that told her more about the strength of their relationship than anything else.

After Fred had disappeared to have a lie down, the rest of them finished their food and took everything into the kitchen to wash up. As Hermione turned on the water to rinse the dishes, Rupert suddenly shooed her away from the sink.

"Go spend time with Fred, love," he told her. "Wesley and I will handle this."

She looked at them. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. Get some rest, and we'll see you in the morning." Rupert looked like someone that had something up his sleeve, but Hermione decided not to push it.

"All right. Night, you two."

Hermione gave both of them a kiss before heading to her and Fred's private bedroom, somehow knowing that she had probably gone there and not their shared bedroom. When she opened the door, she smiled at the sight of Fred sleeping, thinking how beautiful and peaceful she looked. Crawling into the bed, she cuddled up behind her, wrapping her arms around her and holding her as she let herself start to drift off to sleep as well.

"I love you, Fred," she murmured.

Fred - Dream

Fred rushed into the bedroom and plucked Hermione's shoes from under the bed. All of them had been rushing around for most of the morning, getting ready for the ceremony. She couldn't believe Hermione and her were finally getting married. Rupert and Wesley had stepped forward and finished with all the preparations when it became obvious it would become too difficult for Fred and Hermione to handle everything with Fred being pregnant.

They'd planned a small ceremony at the house since it was now winter in California and they had been getting a lot of rain showers. All of them had decorated the house, but didn't go overboard since it was just going to be them there since Buffy and Dawn couldn't make it.

"Shoes," Fred said as she waddled back out into the living room and tossed the shoes at Hermione. She then looked over at Rupert and Wesley, who were staring at the both of them. "What?"

"Nothing," Wesley said before he glanced at Rupert.

Fred shrugged and suddenly realized her dress still needed to be zipped. Sighing, she knew she wouldn't be able to reach it herself. She loved being pregnant but sometimes it got on her nerves. "What time will they be here?" she asked as she continued to think of a way to get her dress zipped up.

"In about thirty minutes," Rupert said after he'd glanced at his watch.

Fred sighed. Maybe she could whip something up to zip the dress up.

Me - Umm

Shoes. Shoes. Where in the bloody hell were her shoes? If she had been thinking straight, she would have used her wand to do a location spell, but as it was, she was also trying to get her hair to cooperate since it had picked that day to be problematic.

Just then Fred appeared and tossed her the shoes she had been looking for. Not even thinking about it, Hermione smiled at her soon-to-be wife and slipped them on. When she finished, she looked at Fred and furrowed her brow.

"Turn around, love," she told her. Once Fred had, she zipped up her dress before laying a gentle kiss on her shoulder. "There you go." She then looked over at Rupert, frowning at the look at his face but too busy to find out exactly what his expression was all about. "You just said thirty minutes?"

He nodded. "Yes. Elaine said she'd be here around one."

"Okay...I'm going to try to tame this rat's nest I call my hair," she said, rushing into the bedroom and finding her wand. Normally, she didn't like using it on her hair if she could help it because she had heard horror stories about people's hair falling out from too much magic being cast. But today, she was about to make an exception.

Standing in front of the mirror, she said a few words to quickly smooth out her hair, then curl them into perfect ringlets. Once that was done, she put two combs into her hair to hold it back from her face.

All right, now she was presentable.

Hurrying back out, she smiled at the others. "All right, I think I'm ready finally." She looked over at Fred and held out her hand to her. "Love?"
