Continued from here.Hermione wanted to tell Fred that she wasn't going to tell her any such thing when Rupert and Wesley walked into the room. She was glad when Wesley told Fred that her idea was brilliant, so that she'd realize that they were with her, no matter what."Of course we aren't, love," Rupert said. "Siedel didn't expect you to live through your ordeal, I'm sure. His sending you to another dimension was simply a convenient way to...make sure no one found you. And to keep his hands clean.""Fred," Hermione said, walking over to the bed and sitting down next to her. "He tried to take you away from me. The last time someone killed someone I loved, I..."She paused for a moment, looking down at her hands before looking up at Fred. She had never told anyone this before - not even Rupert knew. Only Harry did. And Harry had promised never to tell."When Ron died, I was lying on the floor in pain, his body right next to me, Voldemort nearby. Now, there are three spells that every witch and wizard are taught to never, ever use, no matter what the circumstances, on another witch or wizard. If they do, they're branded evil...wrong..." She took a deep breath. "The worst of the lot is Avada Kedavra, the killing curse. And when Ron fell next to me, I grabbed his wand because mine was being held by Voldemort...and I said it.""Hermione," Rupert said softly. She shrugged. "It didn't work...but I had to try." She reached out and pushed Fred's hair back from her face. "So I understand why you have to do this. He wanted to kill you, and he's killed others. He has to be stopped because I will not let him take you or the babies away from me. From us. So whatever you have to do, I'll be there with you.""As will I," Wesley said."And I," Rupert agreed. "But only if you want this, Fred. You're the one he hurt. You're the one who makes the decision how we proceed with this."
Hermione giggled along with Fred when Wesley got huffy with Rupert teasing him about how he had become rather focused on reading baby books recently. She had to agree because she didn't think she had seen him without one at any time in the last few weeks - and it always seemed to be a different book too, so he was obviously going through them quite quickly."Well, I don't think we will, love," Hermione told her fiancee. "For one, neither of us are Wesley.""Hey!" he said, reaching over to try to pinch her side. She slapped his hand away with a laugh and gave him a Don't make me get my wand look. "And for two, neither of us are men."The second "Hey!" was in stereo."As for your idea about finding out the sex of the babies, I think that's a great idea," she told Fred. She leaned down closer to her abdomen. "I know that I'd like to know who the two of you are in there. She sat up again. "I wonder if they might be magical. I was born to non-magical parents, and as far as I know there were no other witches or wizards in my family, so it's possible even though you, Rupert and Wesley aren't.""Well," Rupert said with a slight cough. "There some wizards and witches in mine - a couple generations back on my mother's side. Some cousins of my grandfather, I believe.""I didn't know that," Hermione said, her eyes widening a bit."It was actually how my mother's family became acquainted with my father's. My grandmother worked with my grandfather's cousin through the Ministry of Magic.""Well, whatever they become, we won't push them, right?" Wesley asked softly.
Fred blinked in surprise when Rupert admitted there were witches and wizards in his family. They increased the likely hold that she would give birth to a magical child. She didn’t know if she liked that idea or not. Would she have to give them up so they could go away to train? She didn’t think she liked the idea of her child not being with her at all times.“No, we won’t, sweetie,” she said as she reached over Hermione and took Wesley’s hand. “If one, or both, is magical, then they can decide how much training they have. All the decisions will be theirs.”“Thank you, Fred,” Wesley quietly said, as relief flooded his face. She understand why he’d asked, remembering what he had told all of them weeks earlier. Wesley didn’t want their children to be made to do anything, and she understood that.“Besides,” Rupert said as he sat up behind Fred, “they might want to be a Watcher, or a housemum, or a rock star.”“Or a scientist!” Fred added.“Or, a doctor,” Wesley said with a grin.
"Or a dentist!" Hermione interjected. When everyone looked at her, she found herself blushing a bit. "What? My parents are dentists."Rupert chuckled and reached over to pat her shoulder. "And a right honorable profession it is, too. If that's what our children want to be, then that's what they'll be."Nodding, Hermione smiled, finding that she was really looking forward to finding out what the gender of the children were. She couldn't believe that she was going to be a mum soon. Sure, not biologically, but that was something she'd never be able to do, and she felt these children were as much hers as the others. She knew they all saw it that way.But before they did that, she knew that they had something else they had to deal with first. As much as she hated thinking about that. Not what they had experienced such a wonderful moment together."Erm...what about...?" she started to ask before trailing off, shrugging slightly.Wesley, though, seemed to pick up on what she was asking. "We probably should decide what we're going to do," he said with a nod. "The sooner we deal with the problem, the sooner we can move on with things. And the sooner he won't be able to hurt anyone else."
Fred had been enjoying the talk they were having about their unborn children. She wanted it to last longer but Hermione had brought up Siedel. She didn’t say his name but all of them knew what she was talking about. “We should maybe use a spell,” Fred said with a shrug.“What sort of spell, love?” Rupert asked as he softly rubbed Fred’s arms.“One to open a portal to a Hell dimension. Give him a taste of his own medicine,” she answered.Wesley nodded and slipped off the bed. He pulled his boxers back on and picked up one of the books. “I assume you don’t want him returning?” he asked as he glanced over at Fred. She nodded and he went back to looking at the book. “Here’s a spell. It opens a portal to a dimension that’s made out of fire and...”“Then that’s the one,” Fred said as she climbed over Rupert to pick up her clothes. She put them back on and looked at the three of them. “We can all go to his office. He’ll be there until late. I’ll open the portal and one of you will push him in. We should leave soon...before he goes to have dinner.”“Just let me get dressed and I’ll be ready,” Rupert said as he got out of the bed. Fred looked over at Hermione, wishing they could still hear each other’s thoughts. “I love you,” she whispered before she leaned down to softly kiss her.
Hermione wrapped her arm around Fred's waist while Wesley found the spell to use to open the portal. Since it was a muggle spell, she wouldn't be able to say it - and it was Fred's right to say it anyway - but she had an idea of what she could do to help. While the guys got up and started to get dressed, she looked over at her fiancee, reaching up to tangle her hand in her hair as they kissed for several moments. "I love you too," she whispered back, caressing her neck gently.Once they parted, Hermioned leaned down and picked up her own clothes, quickly putting them on. As she ran her fingers through her hair, she looked over at Fred again, deciding to see what she thought of her idea."Fred, love, I know a spell that will keep Siedel immobilized," she told her. "If you want me to, I'll use it, so he won't be able to run away while you open the portal. Wesley or Rupert can push him in then."
